Bringing Two Brands Together — The Right Way

Game Time Digital was born from the merger of two established companies — App4 Web Media and Sword Media — and needed a new website that would unify their identity and position them as a major player in the US affiliate marketing and iGaming space.

They came to me needing more than just a website. They needed a cohesive, high-impact platform to communicate who they are, show where they operate, and provide a future-ready base for their marketing and recruitment efforts.

What They Needed

  • A professional site with bold visual impact — dark-themed, modern, and mobile-friendly.
  • Flexible content editing for a non-technical team.
  • A way to showcase their US licensing footprint.
  • A streamlined job listings system for hiring across their growing network.

How I Helped

I built a custom WordPress site from the ground up, using a lightweight, performance-focused starter theme as the foundation. Here’s what went into it:

Clean Foundations & Smart Structure

The project kicked off on a private staging server where I could iterate quickly with the client. I built a modular theme that used Advanced Custom Fields to provide flexible content editing across all key pages — including About, Team, Careers, and Contact — with no need for page builders or bloated plugins.

Design That Matches the Brand

The client wanted a dark aesthetic inspired by sites like Sidelines, with green accent colours to tie into their existing branding. I adapted the design to be bold but readable, with a focus on clarity, responsiveness, and engagement.

Custom Features Built In

To support hiring, I developed a custom post type for job vacancies — giving them a dedicated Careers section that could be easily updated by the internal team. I also created a portfolio section to highlight the various sites and projects under their umbrella.

Collaborative, Iterative Workflow

Throughout development, I shared frequent previews and made ongoing adjustments based on client feedback. Whether it was updating visuals, refining layout details, or improving user flow, the process stayed collaborative and transparent from start to finish.

Results

The final site delivered exactly what Game Time Digital needed:

  • A distinctive, on-brand design that sets them apart in a competitive space
  • A scalable WordPress foundation, built for ease of use and long-term reliability
  • Custom functionality tailored to how they actually work — not forced into generic templates
  • Post-launch support and handover documentation to ensure smooth internal management

Tech Stack Highlights

  • WordPress — CMS tailored with performance and stability in mind
  • Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) — For intuitive, flexible content editing
  • Custom Post Types — For structured, manageable job listings and content blocks

Why It Worked

This project is a great example of how I work: no fluff, no bloat — just a clean, reliable solution built to last. By keeping the process pragmatic and focusing on real business needs (not just eye candy), I was able to deliver a site that’s not only impressive on launch day but stays easy to use and maintain going forward.

Tired of bloat and flashy nonsense?
I build websites that work.
That’s it.
